I had a frustrating time connecting to Home sharing ….after using it successfully for ages… Problem :my WIFI setting on my Mac mini had switched to another network ,so all devices were on Different networks. This in hindsight occurred due to a power outage and reconnecting after changed my network.I have two at home. so make sure all devices are on the same network.

He forgot to mention that your iTunes has to be opened with ur computer on the whole time u r sharing libraries.
I did everything and mine didn’t work… synced ipod to computer after applying settings, safely un-synced, now it works fine.

Hi, I’m on iPhone 4 iOS4.3.1. But I can’t find any Shared option on the More tab section. And I’ve turned on the Home Sharing as well as Sharing in Preferences. Help please? Thanks.

Because when you quit iTunes you essentially turn Home Sharing off because your iOS device can’t connect to your library.
